About Me: Yosia Sebayang
Yosia received his Bachelor’s degree of Theology (S.Th) from Jakarta Cross Cultural Theological College and his Master's degree of Theology (M. Th) from Jakarta School of Theological Philosophy. He began his career as a Counselor/Rehabilitation Program Officer at Bali Kerobokan Prison. In 2020, Yosia continuing his career as Counselor/Senior Recovery Support Worker in Calm Rehab Center in Bali. As 2023, he opened his private practice focusing on attachment, relationships, trauma, and addiction towards drug and alcohol abuse in Bali. He continues to offer clinical consulting and supervision to addiction treatment centres internationally and in Bali, as well as individual clinical supervision. Furthermore, Yosia also actively write few papers published in Theological studies in regards of addiction and rehabilitation of drug and alcohol.
Yosia utilises a personal approach and wholistic approach to spiritual recovery for drug and alcohol recovery journey. He created a personally tailored treatment model, pulled from his extensive postgraduate certifications in Master Theology and he also obtain some new method and knowledge in regards of spiritual recovery from his research of his paper titled "The Narratives of God for Recovering Drug Addict" which offer a lot of insight of drug recovery journey. He also obtain Certification as Addiction Counsellor and Rehabilitation from Indonesian National Narcotics Agency and further certification of Universal Treatment Curriculum for Substance Use Disorder (UTC) by Bureau of International Narcotics Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) by US Department of State, and Master Facilitator in Classic Trauma Healing by Trauma Healing Institute of American Bible Society.
After spending 6 years pursuing his Degree's and Master's in Jakarta in Theology Studies, Yosia sought a more balanced lifestyle in Bali as the city also offers an avenue for him to practice his knowledge in spiritual healing for drug and alcohol recovery. In Bali. Yosia work closely with Indonesian National Narcotics Agency and getting a lot of knowledge and insight as Counselor/Rehabilitation Program Officer at Bali Kerobokan Prison which notoriously famous as the drug addict prison in Bali. Furthermore, with his experience in Calm Rehab in Bali as Counselor/Senior Recovery Support Worker, Yosia understand the need of many clients in regards of drug and alcohol recovery and learning few method and approach towards spiritual healing.
With extensive training, certification, and experience handling clients directly in Bali, Yosia gain lot of knowledge and insight in drug and alcohol recovery journey as he is passionate about his work and feels extremely grateful to be a part of each of his client’s healing journeys. He has a mission as to help many individuals and families in their journey towards the freedom and better living after the drug and alcohol misuse and help many of his clients recovered and planted back to the society.
